Need a little help or instruction on connecting.
This is what I am doing.
1) Insuring my iPhone is connected to a 2.4 wifi connection
2) Insuring I have the fast blinking blue light on Big Red
3) Open the Smokin-it app on iPhone
4) Clicking Add Device
5. The SSID for 2.4 automatically in entered (This tells me the Big Red is tied to my phone App, Correct?)
6. I enter the password
7. It does its thing and  tells me  Opps! Connection Failed.

What am I doing wrong or what step am I missing.

Thanks

Doug - If you don’t get a fix from SI or a forum member who is up and running, call Auber and speak to Kane who should be able to help.

Thanks David, did late yesterday get an email sent off. Also rebooted my router late last night. Will reboot my phone, delete and reinstall the app later this morning and give it a fresh start.

Couldn't get mine to work at first, did the " hold both the SET key and the Back/Timer key (◀/🕒)
key for 3 seconds till the blue LED start fast blinking" RESET trick, and then it paired perfectly.

Hoping this helps -

Update: We know the unit is working and that it is now a signal strength issue. Trying various different things to resolve and I will keep updating.

TP-Link N300 WiFi Range Extender with External Antennas and Compact Design (TL-WA855RE) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0195Y0A42/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_S60rBbMC4DARJ

May help

Thanks Jody! The TL-WA855RE was part of the solution! It also extended my wifi territory to cover the entire pool area. The other part was the dedicated 2 circuit Ground fault outdoor box I had put in for the smoker is on a different circuit than the rest of the house which makes the powerline extenders not unconnectable. I had a 220V Circuit run from my main panel to the garage and then the 2 circuit gfi outdoor box (120v) run off of that. Now my
BIG RED is connecting all 3 times I tried it out. AWESOME!

"Thanks Jody! The TL-WA855RE was part of the solution!"

After thinking on what I had posted yesterday I got to thinking. the WA855RE is NOT part of the TP-Link powerline series so why won't it
connect with the smoker plugged into another circuit? Don't know why it didn't connect yesterday but tried it this morning and it connected right up so my dedicated Smoker Circuit will be used after all. I amend my post yesterday and say again but correctly this time...

Thanks Jody, the TL-WA855RE was THE solution!

Moral of my story, like this tree... "Never Give Up!"
