If I remember right Orlando is not that far from Jacksonville? I did not look when I was in the one here in Kansas City as was on the bike and a mission to get bacon. I picked up 15# for $35, the bacon has a good flavor just a little thin for me. But, I just use 4 strips instead of 3 on a bacon and tomato sandwich. Cannot beat that sandwich. And now that I have the pro 140 can purchase some steaks and other items to fill up the fridge. Did you hear about my deal on the #3 I purchased.

The other night something told me to check out the for sale section on our forum. Low and behold Rickne had his #3 for sale, smoker, SI cart, auber for $500. A little too much for me. But, got in contact as he said would let the smoker go for $350. I asked what that would get and he said the smoker and cart with cover. I slept on it and called him the next morning as we had exchanged phone numbers. I was kind of kidding him and asked if he would take $450 for everything. He took a long pause, I am thinking he is going to say something cute. He said $475, I said sold American. Now have the #1, #3, two aubers. And over the weekend will head to Sam's and get a cart for the #1. Now I have plenty of smoking real estate... I think I got a sweet deal. The Auber for the #3 is the WS-1503CPH model but I understand it is a good one. And the Auber for the #1 is forth generation WS-1200GPH. They both look pretty simple. For the AT am going to get some sand, wet it and chill it. But, at least do not have to do that on the #3 as Rick did all of that.

Yes, as you know really wanted the #2 but was too late in getting with Steve to change my order. I called him at 9:20 on Monday and my order was already out the door. But, that is ok I got a really good deal. You should be able to use the RD in Orlando often if you live in Jacksonville. As some of the guys I was stationed with would to to Orlando to party on the weekends. I am thinkin maybe an hour drive but could be wrong.

Sometimes the drive to the Orlando location might be faster than going to Jacksonville....

Yesterdays visit, I just wanted to see the other store that was close by. Overall I am really impressed that with the KS membership I can use these stores.

Just took my first trip to RD this morning and all I can say is WOW!  I got two racks of St Louis spares (smoking today), an 8lb brisket (tomorrow), and two boston butts (Monday smoke) for less than $100!  he butts were $1.49/lb...unreal.    This trip to my local  butcher would have been closer to $200.  The membership fee for KCBS has been more than recovered in just one visit.
