New Model 3 - VERY Impressed!

I received my new model 3 in Idaho yesterday (Tuesday) after ordering it on last Friday. That is some seriously fast *free* shipping from Michigan. Ran it through TWO seasoning cycles for an extra layer of smoke, then tonight put in a sacrificial rack of ribs to finish out the seasoning process. Set the dial to 225. Out of curiosity, I dropped a temp probe in there and saw that the smoker was cycling between 211 and 240. Works for me! Other thoughts...the smoker seems to be VERY well made, and will hopefully last me the rest of my life. My only regret is that I didn't splurge on a larger model. :P Thank you so much, Smokin It, y'all knocked it out of the park!

I have the 3 and it is more than large enough for my family's needs. Utterly reliable. And welcome Eric from SE AZ.

I was debating between a PRO 3.5 and a PRO Series #4 WIFI , I decided to go with the PRO #4 WIFI and when I went to finalize the order they ran out, I needed it right now so I ordered the PRO #5 WIFI and it is a monster, built like a tank but Im glad I went with it. It's nice I do a lot of big cooks on Brisket , Pastrami, ribs and pork butts. I also do big batches of bacon, sausage and I smoke a lot of fish, big poundage like 150-200+ at a time. I have 3 SmokinTex smokers , 1 - 1400 and 2 - 1460's that I would have them all going at once, sometimes for 3-4 days strait running batches of fish. I do the same with deer and elk jerky and snack sticks so it's nice for me to have plenty of room and get it done faster so I can get back on the water. You are going to love it. My dilemma now is trying to decide if I should sell 2 of my SmokinTex smokers and just keep one or keep the 2 bigger ones and just sell the smaller 1400. LOL
