Jason, congrats on the Mom's day cookout as it seems that you guys had a fabulous meal. Quite the smorgasbord  :)

"Ralph, yes we've done lots of wings on the Traeger, it's a chicken cooking machine! Love smoked wings done on it. The Traeger is the best chicken cooker I own. It's great for ribs too. The SI does butts better (as good as the Keg or darn close). The SI did a nice job on the ABTs too! I am real pleased with it."

Thanks for the information as Costco has a road show w/Traeger coming here soon. I intend to nosey around a bit. My space dictates a need to stay small  but I would like to add a weapon to my arsenal. SI rocks for most anything but having a 2nd choice/variety would be a nice bonus!  8)

I bought my little Traeger Jr. for $250.00 new in box off of Craigslist. I added a digital Thermostat that I bought from Amazon. It can with an analog one that would've been fine but I like seeing the digital display telling what my temp is, call me a smoker nerd lol!

I wouldn't mind a bigger Traeger but for the first one I couldn't pass up that deal and it turned out to be a great investment. I did a Traeger vs. Keg showdown when I first got it, did chickens and the Traeger shined on that cook. It's a great tool to have and I do recommend anyone on the fence about getting to pull the trigger, you'll be happy with it. Basically that goes for all pellet grills, they work well! There are a lot of people who turn their noses up at pellet poopers, the same one who think the SI is no good I might add. BBQ snobs. I love all grills. If  I  can cook on it, then it's got to be good :P
