Again, thanks for all the info. I think I will try to find some of Dave's rub locally, or order online. I used the rub that slid off the ribs prior on the pork roast and the chickens. Because the pork roast was my first smoke, I don't think I noticed that most of the rub slid off. And because I placed the rub under the skin of the chickens, it didn't slide off of those. With both I let the rub sit overnight on the meats in the fridge(where I didn't with the ribs). I also think I might have added too much of the brown sugar to the rub(fell in love with the sweetness). At any rate, will try Dave's using some of everyone's suggestions.
