You will be surprised with how much wood you will actually have. I ordered the small 1/3 box and have plenty of wood to last for a very long time. Considering how little wood it takes per smoke, it goes a long ways.

P.S. If you haven't ever used the sugar maple you are in for a treat! I love sugar maple on chicken and pork. Hickory and Pecan are still my favorite over all woods but sugar maple is great!

never have tried sugar maple.. really looking forward to it

You will be stocked up for a good while with the three-wood box.  I ordered the two-wood box and it took about a year of weekly smoking to finish the box.  I think you will be happy with the quality of wood as well.

I ordered that same box last year in July.  Still have most of it left.
The sugar Maple is good on the chicken.

Posting the weight might be useful in the future.

i just realized i could look on the tracking to get approx weight of package
fed ex says it's 33 pounds.. i figure even accounting for packaging it would be well over 30 pounds of wood maybe over 32

but low balling at 30 would be 480 ounces .. then giving a high ball average of 5 ounces of wood per smoke that would work out to 96 smokes.. not bad if i am anywhere close at all

Someone with year old Smokinlicious wood report what the moisture content is.  For those of you buying it, I'm curious how long the benefit is actually lasting.

Grampy, where do you source your Pecan?  Pecan is my favorite, and I know everyone is on the smokinlicious bandwagon here but they only carry their local species (and Pecan isn't one of them).

Luke, I haven't ever bought any online. Being in Southwestern Arkansas we are not short on Pecan trees. My daughter and son in law have several pecan trees in their yard and any time there is a storm or strong winds limbs are always getting blown off. I just go over and cut them up and use them in my smoker. Since these SI's use so little wood, one limb gives me all I need for a long time.
