I recently purchased the #1 and I am excited about getting started.  I have had this smoker on my wish list for over 3 years.  I have never smoked anything and have lots of questions especially concerning venison.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard the fun train, Jaimie! ;D  The great thing about your new smoker is that it has the ability to take a complete novice to pit master in no time flat!  Hang out with us, read everything you can here, and you'll learn a lot in no time!

Pick recipes that look good to you, then try to duplicate them just as written.  Once you duplicate some known successes, you'll have the base skills to start branching out on your own!
