Anova turning to the dark side?

An interesting article popped up in my newsfeed yesterday.  Apparently Anova has decided you should have to have an account and login to use something you own.  It would seem the new parents are very interested in profiling the users.

I got an email yesterday that said an account will be needed if using wi-fi. If using Bluetooth then an account is not necessary.

I was just getting ready to post a follow-up article.  :)  I still say they're doing it wrong...

Well, they tried, but so did United! Not in the same ballpark or league I know. But I'm not a satisfied customer. Yes, I can improvise overcome and adapt, but every time I do I will think unhappy thoughts about Anova. The other wealth of information needed can be obtained here or from other Anova competitors.

Just wait until you need to register an email account through an app to start your car in the morning.

Tesla says big rig trucks self driving are coming next year.

Its not just Anova, its all the dark side............................
