Wood storage options

now that i have a smoker that doesn't have to use a large amount of wood i no longer have to  have a large wood pile as my only option

i can be much more picky

so what are some of the ways you store your wood?

I keep mine in plastic totes that I installed small vents in to allow air circulation. I have never had any problems with mold or the wood drying out to much with this set up. The totes are stacked out of the way in the garage.

Some of my wood stays in the box it came in while other wood is stored in old civil defense metal water cans. I store lump mesquite charcoal in these cans as well.

make any holes in the box or keep it as is?

Since I have a pool, I just use my empty chlor tab buckets. I line with trash bag to be on the safe side even though I clean the bucket.  I just put the lids on loose so they breath

I have mine stored in a plastic milk crate so it has plenty of air circulation and never have had a mold problem.
