Lmao Dave oh I want  to really bad unfortunately  I'm in North Dakota farming and my d2 is in boise idaho at my home there. BUT I'll be home in 2.5 weeks then it's on,,,,,😀

I grew up in Ellendale 60mile South of Jamestown, went to college in Jamestown, and currently live in Fargo. :) You're a coming a long way from Boise to ND to farm. You should have brought the #2 with you.

I has been good planting weather, but most of our farmers are in dire need of rain right now.

Hi gregg, we have a farm over here south of jamestown,  we just winter in boise and spend a few months is the summer after the crops are in. We're hurting for a rain over here too. The last 2 rains missed us.

Very Cool Laura. Doesn't like much rain in the forecast unfortunately though. :(

But, should be a nice weekend for me to head to the lake and do some fishing. :)

Heck yeah, in 2 weeks we go back to Idaho and I'm planning  on catching  lots of kokanee and trout to smoke... my mough is watering  just thinking  about it. But then I've been in a tractor  all day and I'm starving lol... what are you catchin?

I have a seasonal spot at Lake Ashtabula (about 12 miles North of Valley City). We mainly fish for Walleye and Perch, but have some good White Bass and Pike as well.

Small world.  I went to school in Ellendale also.

Hehe...Yep.  You're definitely "bit" by the Lazy Q bug, Laura!  Off to a great start, as far as gear goes!  Like I said before, smoke something! (Just having fun - I know it'll be another couple of weeks).

I just ordered Charlee's slotted rack from Steve and from Fruit a Wood a trial of 20 lbs chunks in Alder, Apple and Oak.  Fruitalicious was out of Alder.

Hey Sarge , what is the slotted rack used for?  Did you mean smokinlicious was out of alder? If so yeah, I found the same thing and had to order it from fruitawood myself.

The slotted rack is for delicate items like fish.  I am going to give it a try with some salmon in a couple of weeks.  I called Steve and asked for his recommendation and while this is stainless, his other rack for seafood and such is plated so I went with this.  As a side note, I am researching security screens for the house and found that they are made of stainless and are available naked or powder coated.  Thinking a naked SS portion might be good for smoking.  Considering the cost, hoping they toss in one or two scraps that fit the smoker racks for free.
