This turned out well.  Pretty quick and easy save for the simmer which requires time

2 lbs beef
29 oz tom juice
15 oz can tom puree
1 can red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans (drain and wash each)

1 onion
1 green or red pepper

3 tps chili powder (video calls for 1/2 cup????)
1 tsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

salt pepper to taste

brown beef
lightly cook onion and pepper
add all and simmer for 3 to 4 hours.

I dished over a garlic and cheese bisquick baked mix.

I was surprised how close in taste it got to Wendys.  Not bad.

Maybe leftovers I'll smoke to re-heat.

All my chili recipes now go in the smoker after they are assembled on the stove top.  The taste blows peoples minds.

Dave,

How long do you smoke the it and how much wood?

Thanks Greg

The last batch was 2 oz. for an hour.  Some times I do a quick stir and taste at an hour and shut the door for another 30 minutes.
