Valentine's Day Special

Long time lurker, finally joining and ordering a #1 today.
Just found this announcement! If I order the #1 & cart today, do I get the cover for the combo?
Literally ready to order today and leave my ugly drum charcoal setup behind forever.
(I have already put the #1 in my signature)

That is a great question, Ben. I would call or shoot Steve a text at 260-417-9951 or send him an email to smokin.it.info@gmail.com to see if this is something that he would do.

BTW, welcome to the Smokin-It family from chilly North Dakota! You are going to love your new #1 when you get it.

Change of plans, the cart is out of stock. Guess I'm just getting the smoker today.
Either way, I'm over charcoal and ready to go electric.
Got a #2 instead. LOL

Nice compromise! You will love your #2. You can get smoking, and order the cart later, or make your own! Lots of good posts here on various homemade carts, or tool chests used as carts. So much easier than your drum smoker, you will be finding yourself smoking more often, and year-round.

Higher frequency smoking is the plan. The drum smoker made good food, but the charcoal and overall size got to be a pain.
Wind, ambient temp, lump/briquette ratios, heat stabilization times, ect.... done with it. Fighting the rig kept me from really dialing in on the meat. I appreciate the art of wood/charcoal cooking, but at the end of the day, I just want to eat some good food.

Sorry for hijacking your Valentines thread. See you guys in the appropriate thread....

Hi Ben, and WELCOME!!  Congrats on the #2!  Great decision to upgrade to that size - you'll be glad you did!  I've had a 1, and now a 2 & 3, but the #2 has always been my favorite.  It's just "right" for about 80% of what I smoke.

Looking forward to your new adventures, which will happen a lot more frequently than with your barrel smoker ('cause it's easier)!
