Trade wars - Ugh!

I had wanted to get a chamber sealer to replace my Foodsaver that was driving me crazy.  I started comparing prices and ended up buying the Vacmaster Pro 350 (not a chamber sealer) instead because of how much the chamber sealers cost.  Last night I was reading posts on here from 6 months to a year ago and it turns out the prices have jumped considerably.  The chamber sealer I was targeting used to be $680 and today it's $1100+!  Even the sealer I bought has gone up $100+.  :(

I picked a bad time to upgrade, but I just couldn't justify spending so much on the chamber sealer... my math suggested it would take 8 years for it to pay for itself based on the difference in prices for the machines and bag costs for my usage.

Anyway... if you're in the market, brace yourself...

WOW!!! That is wild. I think I paid like $699 (before tax) when I got my VacMaster 215 a couple of years ago. I thought that was a dang lot of money, but this new pricing would have priced me out of buying a chamber sealer too. I barely pulled the plug when it was $699.

While not chamber sealers, Home Depot seems to have some good deals.

And websturant has good prices on chamber vac.
