Three (3) Briskets in a Model 3?

I do 2 briskets in my model 3 all the time. In fact, I prefer to do 2 instead of one now (top fat up and bottom fat down).  They just come out even betta, in my opinion. However, I've been wanting to try 3 briskets in my model 3 and just curious if anyone has smoked 3 at a time?  I'm sure it can be done but it would take me closer to the element. I never rotate mine when I do 2 and they turn out perfect.

I'm interested to hear how many people have already smoked 3 at a time and what your experiences were like.

I've never done 3, so this is just my guess.... (my attorney advised me to add this disclaimer).

Since the bottom one will be so close to the element, I would add another shelf, as close below it as possible.  Then, fold a double-layer of foil, about the exact size of the brisket on the bottom shelf, and place it on the lowest shelf.  It shouldn't effect box temps, because it's not bigger than the brisket, and I would think it would act as a good heat shield for the bottom brisket.  It would be like a little foil shadow directly below the one in the hot seat.

Tony, that's a great idea!  I may try that on my next double brisket smoke!

Thanks!

Thanks, Libo!  Let me know how it works!  Just kind of "spit balled" that one!
