I have been a charcoal guy for 30+ years. And my smoker has been a WSM. Old Sarge, DM, and SuperDave suggested I move up to the 3D and politely told me to stop whining about the extra price - and the Wifi upgrade that took me to the scary $1000 price point. In reality, they didn't tell me to stop whining, but patiently pointed out the value. I m already saying it was the best investment i ever made.
Without the forum, and so many post/pics, you could not have made me believe that an electric smoker could deliver the smoke and taste that these boxes do. As a new owner, I am a believer now. I literally have spent many hours reading because the forum members have shared your experiences, both good and bad. It's like a lifetime of smoking hard knocks in one place.
I have this brisky in the cooler right now.

17 hours to get to 195/205.
Upped to 240 the last hour to get it to temp a little faster to allow time to rest.
It is so moist it would fall apart if I held it with one hand. Without this forum, I do not think that would have been such a success. I am one spoiled man now.
