Temp accuracy question?

I've got a question,  since I don't have my 3D yet . I hear people say there Auber is accurate  . How do you know for sure  if it is or not? Are you using another temp probe in the box to compare  with what the Auber is displaying  for a temp?

Another probe like that with the Maverick is used. It is important to make sure the Maverick is checked against a standard for accuracy. This is typically boiling water and ice water, both with known temperatures. In this manner one can check the accuracy of the Auber readings.

You can also verify the 3D auber accuracy with ice water and going into the settings menu. It's in the auber manual. You find a link to the manual in the auber section of the forum.

Do note that if you place a maverick prob in the box to read box temp it needs to be as close to the auber prob as possible. It's pretty amazing the temp differences if the probes are even just a few inches apart.
