Super Sunday Smoke

So I got my #2 for Christmas and decided to try my first smoke for Super Bowl Sunday (schedules have been ridiculous in January).  I tried four racks of Baby Back Ribs and 10 pounds of Chicken tenderloin.  I used DivotMaker's step-by-step guide for the ribs and his all-purpose brine for the chicken.  I am not going to lie but I was really nervous that I was going to screw this up and we'd end up having Papa John's.

Everything turned out PERFECT.  I was thrilled.  My family was loving it.  My daughter wanted more of both the chicken and ribs.  So...First, to DivotMaker, thank you for your brine and the step-by-step rib guide.  It took the anxiety out of the process.  Second, to the entire forum, thanks for being here and allowing lurkers and having tons of recipes, guides, encouragement for those of us who have no clue what we're doing.  Third, Huge shout out to Grampy who gave the Harbor Frieght Cart idea.  I used that too and it was awesome.  Fourth, thanks to SI in generally for making such easy to operate machinery.

I'm hooked.  Onto the next smoke in my mind already.

Jonathan you are a brave man!
Just kidding with the Smokin-It Smokers even a bad smoke is better than normally what you buy!
Congrats Greg

Wow that was a bold move! But, I would expect nothing but success from the SI.

As far as lurkers, I think I have mentioned it a few times, but when I first joined this group back in 2014, I lurked for months and no lie read EVERY SINGLE thread/post prior to even ordering my smoker. So, you are not alone my fellow lurker. :P

One last thing I will say, is where the heck are the pictures??? :)

Congrats on your first smoke and success.. I still have not tried to mix different meats in the same smoke after almost 4 years of owning my 3-D.. That was a pretty ambitious first smoke!!!
