Well done, Laura!  This was a definite departure from what most folks do for their first smoke, but they look simply marvelous!

Thank you dale and steve. It was fantastic!  My family really liked it, it wasn't the easiest  first smoke controlling  the temps and keeping  it low enough  to make smoke but not too hot. But  I did it :)
Ps. I just tasted some after it sit in the fridge  for 5 hours and it's even better now it's delicious  wow! !!

Outstanding, Laura!! 8)  Like I said before, I'm not a salmon guy, but that looks good enough to change my mind!! :D

looking good Laura, I'm still waiting for my 3D to arrive and I will be doing smoked salmon among others in the future.

I have done allot of smoked fish and even lox in the winter here in Florida with my A-Maze-N smoking try. The lox is salt brined with brown sugar until it loses 50% of its moisture, then rinsed and cooled to form a shinny pellicle.

We have a fish down here I catch with a throw net called "mullet", it makes great smoked fish along with making it into a fish dip.

Once I learn the ropes to this Lazy Q I hope to show off some good BBQ photos here.
