St. Louis Style Ribs - First attempt

Texan in Tulsa

New member
Used a light coat of mustard as a binder, as I have seen recommend, and a homemade rib rub my brother made. Not exactly sure what's in the rub.

Smoking at 235 and will check them at 5 hrs.

I prefer St. Louis Style, and I tend to find my best results at 225 for 7 hours. I've tried the higher temps, but personally like the results that I get at 225 for longer time better. But that's just me.

Tony was right. These went nearly 6 hrs and could have gone at least another 1/2 to really get them tender, but they weren't bad.

Tried posting a photo from my phone, but it's upside down. Will try later from the computer.

Here ya go Jason. Not sure why I can't make pics orient correctly when posting to forum from my phone or iPad.
