I've been searching for help and somethings to answer questions. Here I somethings I found hopefully they will help you too. http://www.deejayssmokepit.net/Downloads_files/Time-Temperature.pdf and http://www.deejayssmokepit.net/Downloads_files/DJsSmokingBook.pdf If there any sites that you guys have found can u post it too?

Thanks!  That cooking/smoking chart is terrific.  It should be of use even to those with years of experience.  Again thanks for the link.

Please if anyone has links they use to help or have helped them please post. If your not sure how to do that. Go to the page, go to the top where the address is and right click, hit copy, come back here, hit reply and then right click and paste.

Here are a few useful sites:

http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/
http://www.smoking-meat.com/
http://www.amazingribs.com/
http://www.fruitawoodchunks.com/

Enjoy!

Thanks to all who posted a source of aide for the newbies, such as I.  The websites are invaluable and just what I'd been searching for.

Great chart, Schway!  Always great to have a reference like this!  Ed posted all of my "go to" sites for info.  I particularly like www.amazingribs.com; Meathead is a bbq nerd who likes to post the science behind most of his theories...I like that.  Don't just tell me what "works," tell me why it works (but that's just me).

Two that I like (mainly because I REALLY want to go to his BBQ University up in Colorado Springs) are by Steven Raichlen:

http://www.primalgrill.org/index.asp

http://www.bbqu.net/

Both have recipes, videos, tips and techniques, and other miscellany regarding both grilling and smoking meat.  I probably need to post a review of Raichlen's "The Barbecue Bible" and his others ... and just for giggles, here's an article about his barbecue camp:  http://www.forbes.com/sites/larryolmsted/2013/03/04/the-smokiest-time-of-year-bbq-university-is-coming/
