SI2 went camping

So, I took my SI2 camping a couple weekends ago. I did a pork tenderloin in it with my HeaterMeter set to control things while I went fishing. Came back from fishing after a couple of hours and heard the HeaterMeter alarm going off. Tenderloins were done. We pulled, wrapped, and sliced for lunch. It was super delicious. Camping neighbors asked why the hell I set an alarm clock to go off 5 minutes after I left and they had to hear it for a few hours while I was gone. Guess I learned a few lessons. Check alarm setpoint levels before leaving, don't start cooking in the early morning, don't talk about how great the food tastes when not sharing with the neighbors and annoying the crap out of them with great smoke smells and noisy alarms for hours on end.  :-[

They were really good though!

Lol, that's hilarious.  Yeah, I pissed my wife off with that alarm the second time I used it.  I try to turn off the buzzer now.

Too funny, Tony!  But, you should have know better than to go fishing with tenderloins in the box!  They cook so quick!  Next time, throw some ribs, or a full loin in, and enjoy the fishing - without the neighbors getting mad! lol!

Tony, we knew to not be fishing for more than a couple hours. It was all good! I'm doing ribs or pork butts this weekend. Have them in the fridge and I'm going camping again. Work just keeps getting in the way of my smoking hobby.

Hehe...Yeah, that couple of hours can sure get long if they're biting! ;)

Very true. Then it's a gamble on what's more important. Smoking meat or continue fishing. These are the tough decisions I'd much rather make on a daily basis
