Selling sandwiches?

Does anyone know what it would take to sell sandwiches from our driveway?  Kids with a lemonade stand made me think.

Considering now in PA they want to state tax nursing homes (6%) it could be troublesome where you live to set up a food stand.  Not that nursing homes and pulled pork are similar, but you get the gist.

Oh, how I could rant and keep going on this one..........................

As tough as my town is, they do allow home businesses, with their permits. Of course you could make the sandwiches look like Girl Scout cookies.

I was a partner in a restaurant 30 years ago. As previously stated every state / municipality has different laws and requirements. I would venture to say that if you’re going to be handling and preparing meat every state is going to require a license / permit, your kitchen will have to meet code requirements for a food preparation facility and you’re going to be subject to zoning ordinances for your location.
Having said this, I would still encourage you to check into what the local laws are, if you are really serious. There are some exceptions for small home based business in some locations
Looking back on the restaurant I was involved in, it was amazing how low budget it was. We opened it the in the retail space or front office of an old lumber yard, there was very little construction, plumbing or electrical work that had to done. I don’t know if you could do the same today.

Check with City Hall, Dave.  Lots of hoops to jump through, most places, when it comes to a "transient merchant license," especially for food.  Bad enough for door-to-door, but food's a whole different subject!  Personally, I wouldn't want the liability.  I had a good friend start a BBQ trailer, and just about lost everything in the process.

Just don't be this guy, turn the propane
Off!!! From what I hear down in the cities (Minneapolis, St. Paul )
The food truck market is huge. Don't get down there ever to know
Myself, any way this happened last week!!
That's same truck before and after.
