Reheat some and then Question on 7.5 lb I cooked to store?

I have pulled one apart and will reheat the rest for tomorrow to go with the ribs I will be cooking.  Question on this is what will be the best way to reheat this since it is already pulled and keep moisture in it.

Second question is I cooked 2 plan on putting the other one in the freezer but need advice on this.  I did not pull it apart, but have left it intact.  I do not have any type of sealer so can I put it in a big ziploc bag, and if so will it be alright in the fridge overnight and then do it tomorrow?

Third question is if I pulled it apart and put it in the freezer in smaller containers, is Ziploc bags ok, or something better like Tupperware containers?

Hey Richard, I will try and answer you questions. First, add the pulled pork to a slow cooker with some apple juice or au jus from the pork. That will keep it warm and not dry it out. Second the zip lock bags are fine and yes you can put in smaller sizes. After you put the pulled pork in the zip lock bag, push down on them before closing and that will get most of the air out. Also make sure to use the freezer bags. I do not see any reason why it won't be ok in the fridge overnight. Just let it come to room temp. before putting in the fridge. Hope I answered your questions.

Thanks Bill you sure did.  Would not have thought about the freezer bags for doing this.  I have also found out when doing something in a freezer bag (Veggies from Garden)  to close it up and leave enough room to get a straw in the bag and suck the air out, then zip it closed and it gives you a very tight seal.

Richard, that would be one way, I just like you close almost all the way and then press down with one hand and close completely. Until I purchased the pro 140 vacmaster that I sent you the web info on yesterday.

Richard, it you don't have a vacuum sealer, I would recommend getting one.  It's, by far, the best accessory you can get for your smoker!  If you seal leftovers, reheating is simple - either a bag in simmering water, or thaw it and slowly heat in a crock pot.  The advantage of the vac sealer is no air.  When you thaw and heat/cook meat vac sealed, it's just like the day it was frozen.  Big, BIG, difference from Tupperware or Ziplocs!

Thanks Bill.  Tony, I appreciate it, never thought about it that way.  I can remember sometimes getting freezer burns on food.
