Already starting the Christmas menu with the prime rib as the star attraction.  My belly is still full from yesterday but my mouth is watering for some smoked prime rib.

That's some GREAT-looking PR, Bob!  That method is so foolproof, it's crazy.  I'm smoking my TG turkey tomorrow, but the prime rib is just around the corner!  I always smoke one at Christmas, and it's my absolute favorite smoke of the year!

Yours looks so good, I may have to do a "practice run" before Christmas!  I'll tell the wife I forgot how to smoke one right, so I want to make sure I can get it right for Christmas!  lol.  ;) ;D ;D  It's "our little secret..."

Bob, that plate of food looks awesome. Question though, how did you make the au jus ?

I just replace water with beef broth and add only 2 tsp of beef powder... hope this help

Thanks Bob

I've made homemade au jus, but my family actually prefers the McCormick's Au Jus mix, made with beef broth!  Quick, easy, and tastes good!

I'm not in charge of Christmas dinner with my family, but I will be doing a smoked Prime Rib for a New Year's Eve dinner at my house. Can't wait... Though I do like the idea of a "practice run" before then.  ;D
