power light indicator question

My power light indicator only stays on when the element turns on then turns off during a cook when the element is idle.  Is that normal or should it be on all the time when in use even when the element is not heating?  It's not a big deal just curious.

On and off is normal operation controlled by the temperature setting.

This is normal and lets you know when the element is on.

Normal, it does the same process with an auber.

The light power wire is hooked to one side of the element, so it only lights when the element is receiving power.
