New guy here

Ok, not a new guy.  But a new owner of the SI Model 3D.  Arrived today. So my whining here for actual owners to speak up on other forums extolling the merits of SI over other smokers must now come to an end. I will be doing my own witnessing, so to speak.

For those of you who don't know, Dave has been with us since before the forum started!  He bought a #3 for a relative, and has sang the praises of SI ever since, everywhere imaginable!  He's even gotten himself banned from forums for extolling the virtues of SI over other brands.  Now, I bet y'all are in for some great SI BBQ out of Old Sarge!

Carl - Did that last night. On three other forums. Same name so folks can follow me. Always the same friendly message. I only recommend what I have owned or have some experience with. And I have strongly urged folks to look at SI for value and performance and longevity. And I have never spoken ill of someone's decision to get a big box smoker because it may be all they can afford. So I offer help there after the purchase because as a hobby everyone needs encouragement.  But with someone new and full of questions it is Si all the way.

I agree David, all the top smokers are nice, CookShack, SmokinTex, SI, they are all three great, I like the price and this forum the best with the SmokinIt, the price and quality for the price cannot be beat!!!

Seasoned that rascal Saturday, baby backs are in and Sunday dinner is smoking. And a public thanks to Tony for helping me with the controller.

My pleasure, Dave!  I'm smoking a tri-tip roast today.  I know you're ribs will be great!

The first smoke was a rousing success.  Ribs came out perfect. It is every bit the equal to my other smoker at 1/3 the cost and comes with a more sophisticated controller to boot. A winner no matter how one looks at it.  I am very happy!
