Neat idea; I've been thinking about getting this -- glad I waited for the redesign.
I've got a couple of questions though.
1. I know the ribs don't care how they're cooked, but is there any effect on the finished product whether they're cooked flat on a traditional rack versus on their side in this rib rack?
2. I have a #3. On the Smokin-it website, I believe the picture is still showing the older rack. In that picture, it appears to show that the ribs and rib rack would go into the smoker longways, which would fit perfectly without having to cut the ribs. But it appears to me in this newly updated picture that the rib rack holds the ribs sideways, which wouldn't fit into the smoker. The only thing I could assume is that the longest dimension of the rib rack is the standard width of the #3 (14.5 inches wide), and the shorter dimension front and back would mean that the ends of the racks of ribs would overhang the rib rack. Can you confirm this? Hopefully, I'm making sense here and don't appear too stupid. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks, Ken
