Yes, guys I am still alive. 
My absence has been because a combination of things:
1. I left my job at Microsoft and job hunting has taken up the bulk of my time. Lots of jobs, but finding it a little difficult finding something with similar pay/benefits that I was getting.
2. I was able to get my camper into a seasonal spot this year and have been spending a ton of time at the lake. I haven't taken the #3 out yet, but definitely plan to. It has been a lot of work building a deck in front of the camper, and getting the camper and site all setup.
Hopefully, I won't get any flames, but I actually bought a relatively cheep offset stick burner for the lake place. I anticipate using it more as a charcoal grill than a smoker. But, I may give stick burning a try some time. I have had multiple electrics and propane smokers over the years, but this will be my first experience with a stick burner.
I'm not going away. Just reducing my activity a bit for the summer. I'll be around and anticipate more activity come fall

Good to hear you're doing well, buddy! Hope the move away from MS goes well. As for the stick burner? The only "flames" you get will be from your new grill/smoker! ;D ;D ;D Hey, one thing about us, is we're very open-minded, which is more than you can say about a lot of BBQ forums! Nothing wrong with fighting a little fire, once in awhile!

Obviously my comments about flaming were in jest, because I know people on this form are not the kind to flame for such a thing.
Like I said, it will mostly be used for a Charcoal Grill, but hey if I have it I may play around with it for a bit as when I am at the lake I have the time to sit and watch a fire. Whereas when I am at home, watching a fire would not be something I would want to do.
