Mulberry Tree

I have a Mulberry tree and was looking for someone with experience smoking with Mulberry wood. Is it similar to any other fruit wood as far as the flavor profile goes? What did you like or dislike about it? Is it mild like most fruit wood or does it have a stronger flavor profile? How long did you let it season before smoking with it? I would be cutting it in the Winter when the sap is not flowing. Thanks in advance.

Your question is a new one I have never heard before: smoking with mulberry wood.  I would be interested in hearing about that as well.

Funny, a friend has a neighbor who was taking down a mulberry tree, and he gave me a couple of chunks. Haven't tried it yet, tho. Was hoping to find some info in this thread, but I guess I'll be smoking in uncharted territory.

From a quick google search "mulberry wood for smoking":  Mulberry-
When mulberry wood is burned, it produces a sweet smelling smoke similar to apple. It is a good choice for imparting flavor into poultry, fish, and pork.

There are several threads in Smoking Meat Forums as well.

I have a friend that has done a lot of smoking with Mulberry this past year. He loves it, enough so that he was not shared any.
