Meat Temp Probe

Cosmo911 - First, welcome to the forum. Not sure what you mean by # 3 converted to 3D.  Are you talking about having added an Auber to the smoker or did you get a conversion kit?  Either way, you can set just the temperature and the time.  No meat probe.  Please see this link:

If I am misunderstanding your question, please let me know.

When you program for time the default for the right window will show -H-. Press the time button on the Auber controller and it will then show time in the window starting at zero and counting up to your programmed time.

Sorry, yes Imdid get the conversion kit. Do I just leave the meat probe unplugged?  I'll give it a try tomorrow.
Thanks!

No need to use the meat probe unless you are smoking/cooking to an internal meat temp. As SuperDave stated, press the time button and set to the desired cooking time. Enjoy.

Hi Cosmo!  Congrats on the conversion kit!  Glad to hear from someone who did it.  Now that you're with us, how about adding a first name and town to your signature line?  We like to know each other, around here!

If you want to use the controller for time, make sure the second step of each program is set to "t," and not "F."  This signals "time" as the trigger to change the program, not "temperature" (F for Fahrenheit).  Once you program a couple of times, you'll get the hang of it!  Just remember the 3 steps:

What box temp?
What trigger?  (time or internal temp)
What time or temp?

That's the 3 elements of each of the 6 steps of the program.
