  Hey guys,
Its been a while since I posted anything new, but I have been smoking away as always..
But I tried something new this week and it is fantastic, it’s got bacon so of cores its good..

Lollipop chicken , start with Chicken drumstick, I used drumettes because that’s all I had but it works either way,
Make a cut all the way around the top of the bone and push
“or cut “ all the meat down to the end, give a good coating of you best dry rum, for me that’s Plowboys yard bird rub, wrap in bacon, and another coat of rub and you are ready to go on the smoker,
I cooked mine for 2 hrs. at 225, then bumped up wide open for about twenty min for a crisping.. if you wanted you could add some BBQ sauce with about 45 min to go. But I like the rub and smoke flavor myself and man do they turn out great, give it a try, take some patience and a little prep time but your friends will love them and it something a little different that most people have not seen…

Hey John, those look great!  I saw that in a Jeff P newsletter, and thought it was a cool idea!  I haven't attempted them yet, but want to.  Nice job!
