Let's see they were on the way to the butcher and now they want to setup a memorial for them.....
Wow, truth is stranger than fiction.
"A tractor-trailer carrying 80 pigs to slaughter overturned on the ramp connecting Route 30 eastbound to Route 222 on Monday, August 17, killing the terrified animals. In response, a Pennsylvania resident is joining PETA in asking the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to erect a 5-foot tombstone memorial for a month in memory of the lives that were lost. The memorial will also give motorists food for thought by calling on caring people to spare pigs the terrifying journey to slaughter by going vegan.
Oh, the Humanity!! This saddens me beyond belief. :'( :'( All that wasted bacon, ribs, pork butt, ham...the list is too long to put into words! Cut down, in the prime of their lives, before they could be humanely processed into the pork we all love. Can I get a moment of silence, to remember the bacon lost?
Guys.... Hate to say it but I know exactly where that intersection is in Lancaster, PA. More importantly, I've still got a lot of friends that live in the area and they would be right there with us to help build a fire and rotisserie to BBQ up all of the "goners" from the accident! Have no idea where the weirdos are that want to erect this memorial though!!
