Good evening.  I just purchased my 4d yesterday. I have been watching and reading for the past 2 Yeats. I debated on the 3.5d and I just decided to work some OT. I got my pennies saved up and made my purchase. I cut my teeth on offset smokers in Texas. I even went as far as to teach myself how to weld and started making smokers for friends. I am really excited about the 4d. I hope to be able to do lots of deer JerKY, bacon and sausage. Thanks for reading, Ray from Pekin indiana.  Just north of Louisville KY.

Good choice!! I seasoned my 3.5D last weekend. It will meet my needs just fine ... but the 4D is a tad better, especially for sausage.

Congratulations Ray! You won't be using the offset much anymore once you get a load of how easy your #4 is to use. I actually gave mine away recently. It was a good smoker but it was collecting wasps and dirt dobbers so we parted ways. Looking forward to hearing about your smoking efforts and hearing your opinion on the best smokers out there. I hope you have some folks lined up to help you when that bad boy arrives. Enjoy!

You are going to love the 4D.  I got mine last fall and love it.  Only problem is I have not had time to use it enough.

Well she arrived today. Delivery was scheduled for tomorrow but I drove over to fedex freight and picked it up. I live in the country and trying to coordinate the delivery with the storms coming tomorrow, it was easier to pick it up.  I am glad I have forks for my tractor. I unpacked it but that is as far as I got. I am now going to read up on the tips and tricks for seasoning. I have never had such a fancy piece of equipment I sure hope my learning curve is not steep! Thanks for the welcoming words,  I must say that I am sure glad I went 4d. Go big or go home as someone else said before.
