It was bound to happen

Well, I just finished a nice baby back rib smoke for 4 hours, wow, very good flavor and very moist, I'm brining everything except for cheese from now on!  Cleaned out the 3D and I can assure you, I don't need a BBQ spray to make me smell good, my sweat shirt smells great, so says my wife 👍😄

Back in the old days, when I was using my Weber Smokey Mountain, my neighbor asked me to let them know when I would be smoking. They would hang their clothes to dry on a clothes line, and didn't want their clothes to smell like BBQ. My response was, why wouldn't you want your clothes to smell like BBQ? I consider that an advantage. Not so much an issue with the SI. I don't bother to tell them anymore. But when I go to sleep, and my pillow smells like BBQ from the day before...I am happy.

Kari, I've had the reverse problem and had 2 neighbors curse me because the smoke smells have forced them to go out and buy a smoker.  8)

About the only time my neighbors sit outside is when I am smoking something in my #3. Can't imagine someone being offended by the smell of bbq. Obviously they have never lived around a chicken house or a creosote plant. We happen to have both here in my little neck of the woods. Thankfully I am not close to either one but if the wind is right well let's just say the smell of bbq is sweet perfume in comparison. I think I'll write old spice and ask them if the might consider adding some hickory scent to thier products. I'd buy it!

Or a hog farm, or a paper mill.... I'll take BBQ perfume over any of the ones we've listed, any day of the week, and twice on Sunday!! ;)

This thread reminds me of an old "Car Talk" episode, where a woman called up and suggested that someone manufacture a men's cologne that smelled like WD-40.
