Crazy huh? I am not a baseball fan, at least not in the sense that I can tell you who is good and who stinks. Well, that's not entirely accurate as I DO know that the Braves stink and have stunk for quite some time. Long gone are the days of Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz. No more Fred McGriff (The Crime Dog), Terry Pendelton, Ron Gant, Chipper Jones, Andrés Galarraga (El Gato Grande lol).
I have never set foot inside of Turner Field. The last Braves game I went to was at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium which they used to share with the Falcons. Since this is the last year of the Braves at "The Ted" I figured what the hell, might as well take in a game while I can. I've heard it's a wonderful stadium. I am not sure why they are tearing it down and moving the Braves out of Atlanta. They are moving to Cobb County, much further North. It is still considered part of "Metro Atlanta" but I think it's a shame that they are leaving Atlanta Proper. Bad business on the city for allowing them to leave. The Mayor of Atlanta is a dolt and the Braves basically gave him the middle finger when he tried to play hardball, no pun intended.
I got some cheap seats, $33 each for me and the wife sitting behind the Dodgers bullpen. It's a 12:10 start so I am taking the day off and enjoying a nice afternoon at a game. Should be fun, win or lose. Since I am not a fan, I don't care really who wins but I guess you always pull for the home team so GO BRAVES!!
