Grilling Mesh for fish

In the past I have used parchment paper for fish, but found this grilling mesh for $13.00 on Amazon. The size is 13"x18" which is larger than my rack on my #2, but I just put the long way towards the back and it seems to fit. Tonight I will be smoking four Grouper filets and I will let you know how it performs.

• Good for up to 500ºF on gas & charcoal grills

First smoke tonight with the mesh and it was pretty impressive. For dinner I smoked 1.6 lbs of grouper, cut into four filets.

When I removed the fish, they slid easily off of the mess and cleanup took about 2 minutes.

Looks like a nice solution for fish and veggies

This was on my list.  Do you think suitable for smoking nuts and bacon.  Both which now I do on the SI seafood rack.

Did the ends curl up after use?

Or anyone try this one?  Looks to be easier to cut.

Thanks

I would say yes for nuts and most likely good for bacon also. I know the fish almost slid off on to the ground it was so slick. Cleanup was very easy and no curl after use.

John,

I looked at this also and considered it, but they did not have the quick prime shipping.

I use Frogmats. They work great. A variety of sizes, or cut to fit. They appear to be a similar product to others mentioned in this post.
