Came in damaged. Top of door was bent.

I haven't talked to Steve but he must work all day then answer emails for half the night.

Thanks Steve.
Waiting for the door.

Sorry for your luck with FedEx, Ed!  These things are boxed so well, we hardly ever hear of things like this (in fact, I haven't heard of a damaged door before).  It'll be an easy fix.

In reference to your comment above:  Yes, he does.  One of the hardest working people I know!

Great, Ed!  If you order the Auber, go with the wall-mount probe.  I have an installation article under the Auber tips section, and it is a great upgrade.  The permanent probe removes the error of probe placement, and is crazy consistent.

Sorry to hear about your door Ed, Fed X can be a little rough sometimes,  but Thanks to Steve looks like your up and running....
Post us some Pic's

I ordered the WSD-1200GPH
I have read the notes  and it looks like I will need to bypass the #2 controller?
Also, I am undecided about the location of the probe. Under 1st shelf or under 2nd shelf? Seems like if I am cooking a butt it will probably be on the 2nd shelf will the probe be better there?
I see that the WSD-1200GPH has a bypass mode where it cooks to temp without a program?

Ed, the G-series is the new 4th generation unit.  I'm going to be putting one through its paces very soon, and reporting on the changes.  I assume you ordered it with the wall-mount probe?  Go to the Auber section of the forum, and you'll see instructions on installing the probe, doing a bypass (I recommend it, as long as the back is off anyways), and how to autotune.  The G-series also has programmable recipe "presets" that the 3rd gen units didn't have.  I'm definitely looking forward to taking one through the paces and wring that baby out!

If you check out the post on the wall-mount probe installation, you'll see where I put mine.  It worked out to be about 3" from the top (you want it high).
