Just enjoyed the best pork steaks I've ever had! Brined in apple juice, they were very smokey and I loved it! I, like many others I'm sure, rely on information from this forum to help me as continue to learn and enjoy this great smoker. I hope people continue to take advantage of advice of others on this forum and please continue posting ideas as well. I'm new to the smoking world and this forum has really helped me to enjoy it more and more as I go along. Thanks so much

Sooooooo, where are the pictures of the pork steaks? Did you use a rub on them b/4 smoking? And how long did you leave them in the apple juice? Also how long did you smoke them and at what temp. Since I assume they were on the thin side I'm thinking you did not put a probe in them to check the Internal Temp. Just curious about your smoke as I love pork steaks on the weber. But, am looking for away to do them on the SI.

Smokinfan, I am glad everything worked out for you. Everyone on this forum is always willing to offer up helpful suggestions or advice when you need it.

Smokinfan- you are what this is all about!  We were all new to smoking, and Smokin-It, and came together as a really cool group to share and help each other.  Every new member helps build on that!

By the way - a first name and town in the signature line would be nice, so we know who you are! ;)

Welcome to the Smokin It family and I'll just echo what everyone else is saying. This forum has helped me countless times since I got my #2. Everyone is generous with advice and we enjoy each others successes...and occasional failures  :-\  Enjoy and post your pics!
