Flavor for Bancon

I’ve become a fan of double smoked bacon. I just bump up the flavor of store bought bacon.  Sometimes store bought is good quality but very lightly smoked. My new favorite wood chips for this is Kingsford Premium Blend. Apple, oak and hickory has great flavor.  It was an impulse purchase at Home Depot.  Cheep wood and store bought bacon seem to go together.  It works.

I tend to agree with some bacon being weak on smoke. I sometimes grill bacon; a little something my son taught me.
 
I don’t cold smoke but that would be a great way to do it. I set the temp at 150 and smoke to about 130.  Maybe 120 would work better.  Chips smoke faster so that’s why I use them.  A quick cool down is a must as smoking, not cooking is the object.
