For my first smoke I decided to try chicken wings I bought in a party pack at Cost Co. For my seasoning I used a season from our local grocery store that was a combination of chili powder, onion powder and garlic salt. I sprinkled the wings and let them sit overnight in the refrigerator before smoking them this morning. I reading various posted I decided on 225 for 2 hours. At the time I thought it would have been a mistake to not add a liquid pan however after reading additional posts not using a pan is recommended. For wood I used two chucks provided with my smoker.
Results: The wings were fully cooked which was one of my main concerns. I think the two chuck of wood were too much as they had a heavy smoke flavor, however with various sauces the smokiness didn't seem as bad. Also, i'm guessing that for the little time I was smoking two chucks are not necessarily needed.
All and all it was a good experience and those that tried them really liked them. Attached are some pictures.
