Delayed another week

My luck is holding true.  Finally decided to buy a number 3 and they haven't had any in stock since.  I've planned 3 smokes as soon as I get it.  Putting off making 50 lbs of deer sausage, smoked potato casserole, and pulled pork.  I Also have a co-worker that wants to see it in action then buy him one.  Seems like they need to get a second contractor on board.  If demand keep growing I don't see how they can avoid it.
Impatiently waiting.  Hopefully this is last delay.

I know.  I've already bought hickory and apple wood chunks.  I will be
Waiting and watching.  I've been reading and weighing choices since November.  My fault for not jumping sooner.  Wanted to wait for tax return.

I feel your pain, I've been waiting since February 2nd for the #3, only to see it delayed once again.  I wonder if it has something to do with the ports out West? Sounds like SI will have a very busy week whenever the shipment does arrive.

Why delay by one week time after time.  Surely there have not been a string of excuses nearly 3 months long for week by week delays.  Admittedly, I haven't been waiting as long since I didn't decide to pull the trigger until about two weeks ago.  Just seems odd that I've seen threads lamenting the #3 being out of stock for 3 months

That's three ready to buy a number 3 smoker.  Wonder how many others that look at this topic that is ready to buy.  Would be interesting to take a count.  I imagine the more word gets out about the value and quality the more will be making SI their choice.  I think my father is getting interested now.  He has a masterbuilt smoker too.  I believe he is on his third set of racks. The plating does not last.

I've been waiting for 2 months on a couch that we ordered in December.  The port strike / delays have been the excuse I keep getting.  And I've also been given new delivery dates 2 or 3 times so, they are guessing.

The easiest most accurate way to get the correct answer is to email or text Steve and get the answer straight from him. I hope he is getting a big order in. :)

I'm also waiting, will be driving to the warehouse to get it as soon as they are available.  I have emailed Steve and all he will say is updates will be posted to the website, hopefully next week.

One thing for sure.  As frustrated as everybody is waiting to be able to buy a smoker,  I'm sure Steve is extremely agrivated at not being able to conduct his business and pay his bills like he should be able to. The welfare of his business is on the table.  If he runs out of 1 and 2 he will be a sales business with nothing to sell.

I hadn't heard anything about the labor dispute in the ports (guess I should watch the news now and then).  That's got to hurt, especially the smaller businesses as they don't have the capital to withstand lost sales for as long.

The West Coast shipping stoppage has affected both large and small companies. Fortunately it was settled 2 weeks ago but estimates were that it could take 8 weeks to clear the backlog. At least you all are waiting on something that is nice but not something like chilled meat exports or grain that some major corporations are dealing with and the potential loss of major sales. It truly has been a mess.
What I do know is that whatever size Smokin-It you get you will be more than satisfied. I went with the #2 even though it is just me and have been glad. I do three racks of ribs or 6 tenderloins or 3 shelves of chicken parts and then have lots for the freezer. These smokers are definitely a superior product and worth the wait.
