Cooking Arsenal

I think the arsenal of grilling is done for awhile.  Picked up an old smokey 22” at Ace hardware (you have to order online).  For $70, the look, and its not $1000 green ceramic I had to give it a try.  Considering the weather, I’ll get back to ya in 4 months.

My wife said, “Ok, grilling and smoking is your mid life”

Reply, “When I have to tow something with the chevy van to catch food or cook food, that would be my mid life”

Love it!  The "Old Smokey" really hasn't changed since the '70s!  We had one, when I was a kid.  Here's my Dad (seated) and my older brother tending a "Texas Steak" on ours (he thought a chuck roast on the grill was a Texas steak).  I was probably around 10 when this was taken.  Probably can tell where I got the beer and BBQ gene from.
