Christmas Eve ribs

Going to a good friends house for xmas eve.  A request was made that I fire up the #3 for some ribs. 

In order to avoid the ambient temperature outside, I will smoke in the entrance of my garage with a fan.

Standard recipe, 240 2 oz of cherry wood, water pan, famous dave's rub, sit back and relax for 5 1/4 hours. No peeking!

I can't wait for some good ribs.  I actually had an opportunity to order some Q over the weekend and declined.  Can't be as good as mine..

The ribs were off the hook.  After 5 minutes a rack and half were completely devoured with only the bones remaining.

Smoked the ribs 5 and half hours.  They were money.
 
Zebra, I left the door to my garage (not the garage door) wide open and ran a fan for the entire cook.  It was very cold and did not want to chill the entire house.

This process does work and you have the added benefit of a nice wood smell in the garage.

I also used this method for a pork butt.
