Chicken thighs skin on

Hey y'all! Been a while since I've posted here soo I reckon I'd touch base while smoking some Jamaican Jerk thighs & drumsticks. 1st chicken smoke ever probably because pork ribs are so easy and delish on this thang.
I brined and pinned the skin and will probably finish on the grill. Any comments on whether this is appropriate either way is appreciated.
Dang! Ya' mon u get a hellacious hickory burp with the #2 at 250*. Scares me every time but I ain't worried  ;D. Have a nice weekend!
 
Burps happen.  And your plan on the chicken sounds good. And as Brian stated, watch out for flare ups when crisping.  Enjoy.
