Butcher Shop Road Trip

My travels today for a furniture pickup took me close to a favorite butcher shop!  Man did the van smell good coming home.

Cured spare ribs
Cured summer bologna
Cured snack bologna
Lots of sauces and sauerkraut!
Garlic cheese too!

Pictured I think it probably the “dog treat” table.  I could be wrong.

EATING and snacks.  Only the cheese I bought said it required a fridge.

They must have cure down to a science.  And I bet an old PA Dutch store your meat tradition.

If anyone is between the Allentown and Reading PA (Pennsylvania) area its a must stop.  Also a Cabelas 20 mins away too to make the trip a bonus.

John, I bet that's a great store!  I checked out their offerings - wow!  Kutztown is a nice area, and I bet the folks there are great!  Did you try some of their Lebanon bologna?

Cash only, which confused the NJ traveler (give me a hot dog) in front of me.  ATM (MAC) machine on site.

I got a roll of their "summer" bologna.  The "Lebanon" which they have was the more larger diameter sandwich size.  I can get that from Seltzer any day around here.

Prices aren't cheap, but worth the trip if in the area.

Picked up these signs along the way, from the late 60's.  Lehhartsville Hotel, they hung outside if anyone knows the area.  A good save / salvage for the local collection.
