Brisket Round?

When buying corned beef, round, it doesn't look like any part of a packer brisket that I've ever bought.  Is a corned beef round a different cut than brisket?

Okay, the internet is a wonderful thing.  While I always thought that all corned beef was brisket, I've discovered that the "round" is actually an eye of round roast.

Any cut or type of meat can be "Corned" traditionally the majority of the rural Irish could never afford beef. Cows gave milk, sheep gave wool so they ate the pigs.

I have made corned, Bison, Beef and Pork. The best corned beef I made was from small farm grass raised beef. I cured (coned) Bison eye of the round and made Pastrami. The eye is tasty it just has a totally different texture than brisket.

Making your own corned beef is easy and far exceeds the quality of store bought.

SuperDvae was speaking about Corned Beef Rounds compared to Corned Beef Brisket. I addressed that. In addition I advised making your own corned meat is simple and superior in quality to buying it.

So, I'm not sure how my post was off topic.....

Dave that looks wonderful.
How tender did the round come out compared to pastrami from a brisket and how did the flavor compare?

Ok, my fault sorry about the confusion. This is the link I was trying to post:
