Brining a small brisket.....

I'm getting ready to smoke a small brisket (5.2 lbs) for tomorrow.  My plan is to brine/inject and then throw it into the SI2 and let it do its thing.  My question relates to time duration of the brine.  This is by far the smallest I've brined/smoked.  I'm use to brining 10 - 12 lb briskets for 12+ hours.  How long for this little guy would you recommend?    As I always, thanks for any feedback.

Have you tried injecting instead of marinating?  I use worcestershire sauce with apple juice, tastes great, can be done just before cooking

If I were doing a 5 pounder, I'd halve the salt and still do it overnight.  Full salt brine, I'd cut back to 6 hours.

Thank you for the advice, I went with a 7 hour brine, rinsed it well and then applied a rub to it.  Historically my smokes always seem to be on the long side, but this time I'm hoping that because this is a relatively thin brisket I can hold to around 1 1/2 hrs. / pound.

Hopefully in time to watch the Cardinals end the Panthers season!!!!
