Hi Guys,
SeanH from NC.
New to the Smokin-it. I now have a 2D seasoned and ready to smoke some meat. I am not new to smoking as I have a pellet smoker and have been smokin meats for 5 yrs now. I got the 2D for a lot of reasons mostly due to it’s size. (Smaller footprint) I have dove into the forums and have come to understand “smoke”. The combustion issue with the electric vs offset or pellet is different due to the way the wood combusts. I plan on starting with 2oz on my first smoke starting with the temp at 140 and ramping up temp ending at 225. I will let you know how it goes.
Soooo, here is my question-
Could I use the Bella cold smoker as my smoke input vs the the blocks over the heating element?
I would run it for 2 hrs. and then let the meat cook on its own.
The reason I’m asking is would this get that combusted blue smoke? Has anyone tried this before? Does it matter?
Thanks for all your reply’s.
