3D temp not holding

I have a 3D.  The box temp is not holding at what I set.  Today it was reading 200 when I had it set at 160.  Then it was at 150 when I had Auber set to a155.
Previously it held VERY steady.

Did you try cycling the power?  Also, make sure your box temp probe, on the back wall, is clean and not touching the meat (a very common problem).

Turn the power switch off for a minute, then back on and start over.  Occasionally, I've had Aubers get a little "glitchy" and read like that.  Resetting the power usually clears it up.  Hey, they're just a computer board, so it happens...

Also, were you cooking something?  If so, what?  Seems like a strange temp profile.

I was smoking salmon which I usually go an hour at 130 then finish at 160      I was playing with the Auber temp trying to get the box temp correct.

Good news is salmon is perfect.

Was this your first time doing salmon in the 3D?  The Auber sometimes get s a little jumpy when there is very little meat load in the smoker.

Sarowe - Please keep all posted on your heat issue.  There are a lot of 3Ds out there and we all learn from each other.
