Built a table, 33" high with folding shelf in front of smoker. I can't bend down to load my smoker - so it had to be off the floor a bit. 4" vent pipe to get the smoke out of the garage through the window opening. The vent features  2" air gap above opening to allow for natural venting. There is a 4" duct fan installed in case the wind is pushing the smoke back down the pipe. I have it plugged into a simple light dimmer so I can slow the fan speed to a crawl - just enough to move the air but not enough to pull air through the smoker. I live in Wyoming, so this will allow me to cook year-round. We get an exceptional amount of wind here - so, even if the temp isn't too cold it's still no fun to go outside to cook in the wind. I just got it this week. I'm doing my second cook today - man do I love this thing! I've been smoking BBQ for 35 years or more and I've owned lots of smokers. It used to be about tending the fire and making it a day; but, I can't do that anymore for a host of reasons. I'm all about anything to make it easy. And when it's easy and predictable, it's way more fun!

I really like that. If my garage wasn't so full of stuff, I would be tempted to do something like this as well.
